Hi everyone, i will be removing my contact email and chatroom from my neocities soon and will be looking into a de-googled alternative to my guestbook.

For the email part, don't worry, i was not sent anything heinous, however; one of you signed up email up for something petsite adjacent's mailing list or something. While i think this is funny, this is kind of an evil thing to do to me.

For the chatroom: i just didn't really use it, also it's run on google servers iirc, so not very privacy friendly.

The guestbook: yes, i will be replacing it, however i will archive the few lovely comments i received on it. moving away from stuff like google is the goal with web revival so this is a natural conclusion to come to seeing as i don't have a database to use for this. I am not entirely sure what i'll use to be honest, i might even consider having a pinned dreamwidth post for it rather than keep it on the neo. We'll see!

Don't worry about the sudden drop off also, it's pretty normal for me, my interest wax and wane a lot and I stop having energy for some.I'm a guy who likes to dabble in a lot, though it comes at a cost if anyone enjoys a specific thing from me.

Due to Pokefarm's ableism over the QOL CSS that allows people to play without gaining repetitive strain injuries i will no longer feature PFQ adoptables on my website.

Punishing people for using a accessibility option because it's used widely by able bodied people is so obviously disgusting that I don't understand how this suggestion made it past the other staff members. This is seeing disabled and able bodied people using a ramp, deciding you're seeing too many able bodied people, and making it steeper on purpose because you will have to do even more interactions to keep up with whatever interaction point goals you have (+9% estimation by Niet).

thinking about actually doing one this year! so for 2024 I might do a virtual pet game year, where every week i play a different virtual pet game. I might only limit myself to the free selection of itch.io for now since those ones are more likely to be less played. First up will be Genepet! this will also give me an excuse to use my blog more often and actually determine if i want to keep using dreamwidth or switch to bearblog

its come to my attention that my navbar was having an issue on mobile devices where the guestbook page would not show up correctly. this has now been fixed!
